DKD Calibration Lab
DSM operates a calibration lab accredited and monitored by the Deutschen Kalibrierdienst (DKD) in accordance with standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005. We test your measurement systems and sensors in our calibration lab in Aalen or on-site with you. Naturally, we also calibrate older DSM products, as well as screwdrivers and measurement recorders from many other manufacturers.
The DKD calibration certificates produced by DSM are documentary proof of traceability to the national measurement standards of the Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig.
DSM is accredited for these measurements:
Calibrating individual components
In the past, it was necessary to collate all individual components required to produced a measurement result in one measurement chain and to calibrate these as one unit. If a component was removed, exchanged or added to this chain, then the calibration was worthless.
Thanks to the DSM calibration set-up, it is possible to calibrate each individual component of a measurement chain individually, such as electronic measuring equipment, sensors etc. This procedure is recognised by the DKD. However, it is also possible to estimate the measurement uncertainty for the whole measurement chain. The benefit: a substantial cost and time saving.
