“Accu­rate” measu­re­ment is of central importance – because faulty measu­re­ment values can have far-reaching econo­mic conse­quen­ces. Cali­bra­tion, i.e., the deter­mi­na­tion and docu­men­ta­tion of devia­ti­ons of a measu­ring instru­ment, is perfor­med world­wide by accre­di­ted laboratories.

DSM opera­tes an accre­di­ted and moni­to­red cali­bra­tion labo­ra­tory. The accre­di­ta­tion was gran­ted by the “Deut­sche Akkre­di­tie­rungs­stelle GmbH (DAkkS)” (the natio­nal accre­di­ta­tion body of the Fede­ral Repu­blic of Germany) accor­ding to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

For many of our custo­mers, this repres­ents a real added value that saves time and costs: At our loca­tion in Aalen, we cali­brate, adjust, and repair measu­ring systems and sensors in our quality-moni­to­red labo­ra­tory – relia­bly, quickly, and across manu­fac­tu­r­ers.

Cali­bra­tion and moni­to­ring accor­ding to natio­nal stan­dards is essen­tial not only for new products but also for older DSM products as well as devices from other manufacturers.

In addi­tion to DSM nutrun­ners, press-in units, and measu­ring trans­du­cers, we also cali­brate devices from other brands.

The cali­bra­tion certi­fi­ca­tes issued by DSM with the accre­di­ta­tion symbol docu­ment the tracea­bi­lity to the natio­nal stan­dards of the Physi­ka­lisch-Tech­ni­sche Bundes­an­stalt (PTB) in Braunschweig.

Compa­nies with a quality manage­ment system are requi­red, under appli­ca­ble stan­dards (e.g. ISO 9000 ff., IATF 16949, VDA …), to regu­larly inspect their measu­ring equip­ment and to docu­ment these inspec­tions comprehensively.

At DSM, we meet the highest stan­dards when cali­bra­ting your measu­ring equip­ment: using speci­ally deve­lo­ped cali­bra­tion setups and stan­dard-compli­ant measu­ring proce­du­res, our specia­lists cali­brate your devices in the lab – precis­ely, relia­bly, and accor­ding to the latest test­ing methods.

The „Deut­sche Akkre­di­tie­rungs­stelle GmbH (DAkkS)“ (the natio­nal accre­di­ta­tion body of the Fede­ral Repu­blic of Germany) moni­tors compli­ance and main­ten­ance with the highest quality stan­dards.
As a signa­tory of the multi­la­te­ral agree­ments of the Euro­pean co-opera­tion for Accre­di­ta­tion (EA) and the Inter­na­tio­nal Labo­ra­tory Accre­di­ta­tion Coope­ra­tion (ILAC), DAkkS ensu­res inter­na­tio­nal reco­gni­tion of cali­bra­tion certi­fi­ca­tes.
Cali­bra­tion certi­fi­ca­tes issued by DSM bearing the accre­di­ta­tion symbol are ther­e­fore valid and reco­gni­zed worldwide.
