“Correct” measu­re­ment is of funda­men­tal importance, as inac­cu­rate or faulty measu­re­ment values can have signi­fi­cant econo­mic conse­quen­ces. The cali­bra­tion of measu­ring equip­ment – i.e. the metro­lo­gi­cal deter­mi­na­tion of its devia­tion from a refe­rence – is carried out in accre­di­ted cali­bra­tion labo­ra­to­ries in accordance with inter­na­tio­nally reco­gni­zed stan­dards and procedures.

DSM opera­tes an accre­di­ted and moni­to­red cali­bra­tion labo­ra­tory. Accre­di­ta­tion has been gran­ted by the Deut­sche Akkre­di­tie­rungs­stelle GmbH (DAkkS) under regis­tra­tion number D‑K-15152–01–00 for the scopes listed in the annex to the accre­di­ta­tion certi­fi­cate in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

For many of our custo­mers, this repres­ents a real added value that saves time and costs: At our loca­tion in Aalen, we cali­brate, adjust, and repair measu­ring systems and sensors in our quality-moni­to­red labo­ra­tory – relia­bly, quickly, and across manufacturers.

Moni­to­ring and cali­bra­tion in accordance with natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal stan­dards are essen­tial not only for new products, but also for older DSM products as well as equip­ment from other manufacturers.

In addi­tion to DSM nutrun­ners, press-in units, and measu­ring trans­du­cers, we also cali­brate devices from other brands.

All cali­bra­ti­ons perfor­med by DSM docu­ment tracea­bi­lity to the natio­nal stan­dard – in Germany, that of the PTB (Physi­ka­lisch-Tech­ni­sche Bundes­an­stalt) – and thus meet the norma­tive requi­re­ments of quality-rele­vant manage­ment systems.

Cali­bra­tion certi­fi­ca­tes bearing the accre­di­ta­tion symbol of Deut­sche Akkre­di­tie­rungs­stelle GmbH (DAkkS) are also inter­na­tio­nally reco­gni­zed and are issued in accordance with the requi­re­ments of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

Reca­li­bra­tion

Compa­nies opera­ting a quality manage­ment system are requi­red, in accordance with the requi­re­ments of rele­vant stan­dards – such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or the VDA volu­mes – to regu­larly moni­tor their measu­ring and test equipment​.
A key element of this moni­to­ring is reca­li­bra­tion at defi­ned inter­vals in order to ensure measu­re­ment capa­bi­lity and to provide compli­ant documentation.

DSM meets the highest quality stan­dards in the cali­bra­tion of your measu­ring equip­ment. Using speci­ally deve­lo­ped cali­bra­tion systems and stan­dar­di­zed cali­bra­tion proce­du­res, our experts perform cali­bra­ti­ons in accordance with current stan­dards and state-of-the-art test­ing methods. After comple­tion of reca­li­bra­tion, the measu­ring equip­ment – inclu­ding the cali­bra­tion certi­fi­cate – is retur­ned to you.
A corre­spon­ding cali­bra­tion label on the device clearly docu­ments the cali­bra­tion status.

DSM Factory Calibration

Cali­bra­tion of nutrun­ners, press-in units (inclu­ding sensor cali­bra­tion and adjus­t­ment), and trans­du­cers in our cali­bra­tion labo­ra­tory using in-house proce­du­res and traceable cali­bra­tion equip­ment.
Factory cali­bra­tion certi­fi­ca­tes are not cali­bra­tion certi­fi­ca­tes bearing an accre­di­ta­tion symbol and are ther­e­fore not covered by the EA MLA.

DAkkS-Accre­di­ted Calibration

Cali­bra­tion of nutrun­ners, press-in units (inclu­ding sensor cali­bra­tion and adjus­t­ment), and trans­du­cers in our cali­bra­tion labo­ra­tory accre­di­ted by the German Accre­di­ta­tion Body (DAkkS) under regis­tra­tion number
